A FIVE-DAY RESIDENTIAL RETREAT
Leading Difficult Conversations
For leaders working with conflict, complexity and polarisation: a rare immersive retreat exploring how to stay thoughtful, curious and human when disagreement is charged and trust is fragile.

Imagine spending five days in a secluded retreat in the Cotswolds, at the table where conversations most of us never get to witness unfold behind closed doors.
Year after year, people at the heart of some of the world’s most deeply entrenched conflicts come here to keep talking, when many believe it’s impossible.
Over five immersive days, you’ll learn how to have the most difficult of conversations in the most polarised of times.
Who is this for?
Leaders across politics, civil society, public life, media and social change who want to deepen their capacity to work with conflict, complexity and difference.
If your work requires you to hold complexity, build unlikely coalitions, or lead across difference, this retreat is for you.
You don’t need to work in conflict resolution. You need to be ready to question your own assumptions and stay in the room when a conversation gets hard
WHAT TO EXPECT
Time and space to notice yourself – how you listen, how you react, and what drives it.
Extraordinary people, unexpected encounters and moments of reflection that may change how you see others, and yourself.

Contribution
This pilot is funded by AMR, an educational charity. We are therefore asking participants who have the means to consider contributing towards the costs of the programme, at an amount that feels affordable and appropriate for them.
There is no set amount, and no contribution is too small. Contributions help participants feel invested in the experience and, where possible, help pay forward the opportunity for others.

In today’s climate, we believe that supporting people in leadership positions is the single most important thing we can do. A Million Realities exists to form leaders who can remain internally coherent in externally incoherent times.
